Some clients will state that they do not want their windows cleaned because the rain will just make them dirty again during the winter rainy season, is this really a fact?

The three major things that cause windows to become dirty are:

   1) Pollen

   2) Insect droppings and nest building

   3) Dust

If these are present on the glass when it rains, the rain simply attaches itself to the dirt and often makes the windows even look worse.

However if the windows had been clean, then the rain would simply sheet off the clean glass and they would continue to remains clean.

Some property managers of large complexes are aware of this and therefore have their properties’ windows cleaned during the rainy season.

   1) They get more for their money since the windows will stay cleaner longer.

   2) Their customers also have a more enhanced winter by not having to look thru dirt streaked windows.

Summary: Doesn’t rain make the windows dirtier? Not really. It simply attaches itself to the dirt that is already there, often making them look worse. However, rain simply sheets off of clean window glass and they remain clean-almost like they were rinsed with distilled water.
